The IDG team participated in Movember the month that challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for prostate cancer. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.
IDG is happy to announce the recent hire of Octavio Cardenas as Director of Business Development. Octavio is an accomplished communicator, with over eight years of experience in marketing and business development. Rémi Breton joined our team this summer as Web Developer. His role is somewhat “behind the scenes” as he combines the client’s content and our graphic design to create user-friendly websites. His meticulous attention to detail and dedication to each web project is vital to the success of all our clients’ online initiatives. Rémi Breton will be taking over all web related responsibilities this November as Laurence Rabino will be leaving the team. We are so very grateful to Laurence for his years of dedication to IDG and wish him all the best in his new adventures. |
Please note that we will be closed for the holidays from December 23 to January 3 inclusively. Be sure to notify us ahead of time of any projects you need done before the end of the year! ![]() |

ATRION INTERNATIONAL INC.
Atrion International Inc. is the leading Product Compliance Solutions provider delivering a complete range of dynamic Managed Regulatory Content, as well as software applications and services. Our first challenge was understand what exactly this client does! Then, IDG created the Jenio logo for one of their software products. Atrion provided a very defined document of its product overview which helped us understand not only the product better, but what the client wanted to communicate to its audience. The shifting shapes represent forward motion and transformation while the grey and green color palette was chosen to complement the graphic user interface (GUI) that had already been established by Atrion’s software development team. It was important to give a warm feeling to Jenio so clients would understand that the product is very user-friendly. We’re proud of the subtle highlight of the letters I and O which reinforce the input/output theme the client had briefed us on. Overall the logo gives this technology based product a very friendly, accessible feeling. Mission accomplished! CondOasis Tremblant Inc. manages the renting out of privately owned condominiums at Villages des Soleils, in Mont Tremblant. IDG was hired to revamp their logo and stationery, give them a fresh promotional postcard and updated website. IDG provided a new, clean, simplified logo mark and established an overall consistent brand for the company (look, colors, typefaces) from top to bottom. We chose the green and orange color scheme to reinforce the "oasis" theme as well as the vast forest and warm sun of the Laurentian region. The client wanted a more upscale, professional look, without feeling unattainable. The material remains easygoing and upbeat with the website showing many large, colorful http://idgc.ca/newsletters/2010/winter/images to get a good sense of the condos and their amenities.
MoneyBanq is the UK's newest, most convenient retail financial services company offering cheque cashing services, payday loans, installment loans, wire transfers and more. The client asked us to incorporate a blue pig in the logo because in the UK, it’s considered a symbol of good luck. With a slight tilt to his head and a warm smile, the little blue pig adds a friendly touch to the brand, creating a trusting, easy-going look that is carried through the company’s culture. What most won’t see at first glance, is the subtle curl of the pig’s tail: it’s in the shape of the British pound! To best compliment the icon, our creative director chose Helvetica, a very simple, classic font for legibility with the two-tone choice of blue to make the words easy to read. Our second condo mandate from the Laurentians this summer came from an entrepreneurial husband & wife business. IDG create the logo, stationery and website for this quaint condo duplex located steps away from the Scandinave Spa. The logo we designed was inspired by the Tremblant region itself. The three leaves symbolize the condo’s natural surroundings. The negative space between the leaves create the white snow the Laurentian’s have in the winter. A deep rich brown was selected for the lettering, in a classic engraved serif font to complete the look. The website design is an extension of the logo, reinforcing the branding and continuing a very neutral, natural tone to convey peace, harmony and comfort.
This once small, family-run business has recently gained the momentum they so deserve. The company has expanded its reach across Canada and the US and growing bigger and better every day! IDG provides Lisette L with valuable branding consultation and produces its sales collateral. A new website is in the works for 2011.
The RO-EL Group has been manufacturing and distributing quality goods for over 65 years. IDG created a 16-page catalog, one in French, one in English, to compliment the 2010 corporate catalog. The catalog has a warm and welcoming "Gift Giving" theme and has been well received by their customers. |
